About Us

Strang Steel Property Search is an independent company specialising in property acquisition in the south east of Scotland primarily covering Edinburgh, the Lothians and the Scottish Borders. The company was set up by Peter Strang Steel with the aim of providing a bespoke and personal service for purchasers looking to buy quality residential properties.

Peter comes from a strong Scottish property background and brings a wealth of experience in residential property to the company. After graduating from the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Peter started his property career in the fast moving London residential market with John D Wood & Co before joining the prestigious Knight Frank Country House department, where he was involved with the sales of some of the finest country houses in the South West of England. Peter returned to Scotland where he gained valuable experience in the Scottish residential market with Rettie & Co. until setting up Strang Steel Property Search. Having been brought up in the Scottish Borders and currently living in Edinburgh, he has excellent local knowledge and provides a proactive approach to finding the best properties for his clients.
